Just got a call back from the immedicenter. The viral culture came
back negative. Which is from my understanding a fairly common
occurence. I can't get another viral culture unless there is another
outbreak as for all but a tiny bit of discoloration in the first and
last spot I am pretty much healed.
At this point I have the following:
* Positive bloodtest
* Negative Viral culture
* Spots of some sort on my scrotum
* Nothing on my penis
* 2 doctors don't think its HSV
* Valtrex made them go away almost completely
* No real answers
Best case scenario I was exposed to HSV orally at some point in my
life and thats why the bloodtest showed what it showed. So I have
asymptomatic HSV just like most of the population. Worst case scenario
- the viral culture was done too late for a positive culture to be
obtained, I have genital HSV and won't know for sure until I have
another outbreak. And even then its iffy if they are going to get a
successful culture. Or I could fool around with someone and see if
they develop symptoms but I would NOT do that. Because I don't think I
can live with myself if I did spread this to someone else.
So now what?

Well, you already know you have herpes. But we still don't know what that
is that's going on genitally. I would speak with your doctor about making
an agreement that if symptoms show up again, you can come in immediately and
get another culture run. The culture needs to be done pretty much as soon
as you see something happening down there. :)
Good luck.
