Male Outbreak Question

Hello everyone ... this is my first post here.

I discovered that I have herpes in March of this year.  My initial outbreak
was devastating to me to say the least, but I've dealt with it and can
accept the fact that I have it.  At first I had 17 sores on my penis and out
of that two were larger than the rest.  Went to the doctor and it was
confirmed that yes, I do have the virus.  I have no idea if it is 1 or 2,
but it only happened on my penis.

My doctor gave me a prescription for a week supply of Valtrex and told me
that when I did have an outbreak to take it and then get back to her once I
had finished them.  I have never taken them.

Well in the past four months, as far as I know I have not had a outbreak.
Every once in a while I get a super light tingle where my penis meets my bag
that lasts for about a second.  I look and don't see any signs of a sore
what so ever.  This tingle may happen once in a week or once every three
weeks.  Seems to happen only when I think about having herpes.

So here is my question:  is my mind making the tingle happen? why is there
no sore or mark?  the tingle does seem to happen always at the same spot,
which is where one of the larger sores once were.  Can some you males
describe to me what your outbreaks are like and what the signs are?

I have also just met a fantastic woman and have fallen big time in love with
her.  I know that she doesn't have it and am scarred shitless to tell her
about it and want to gather some facts about outbreaks and the signs before
I talk about it.

Any and all information/feedback it greatly appreciated.
Regards

AB,

Not everybody has signs or symptoms when it comes to herpes:
http://www.ashastd.org/news/111201.html

A good place to gather up the facts about herpes would be here:

You can read about our telling story here:

Hope this will help you out some ...

Hi

The symptoms i get is my skin dowm one of my thighs is sore then i get a
tingle on my penis and a couple of days later i get 3 to 4 blisters, on the
first signs of this i apply lignocaine gel which numbs the area and speeds
up healing as the blisters do not seem to get so big.
Zovirax cream is a good as water, its is a marketing ploy to line the
pockets of shareholders at Glaxo! save your money.  The tablet form worked
for me over 2 years, but it does not eradicatethe virus and being as
sceptical as i am i do not see a cure for years as companies like Glaxo
cream profits from our illness, why shoul they find a cure when people rely
on their product to just prevent it. (sorry for that but i feel very
strongly about this)
If you are in the uk mate try the herpes association
http://www.herpes.org.uk/ cheap subscriptions and lots of good info.

keep smiling

Andy
