Kaiser and Valtrex

I've been on Valtrex for suppression, 500 mg 1/day for a couple of years.  (I
have both genital herpes and oral) It's working great, much better than
acyclovir, which I used to be on.  Maybe there are other variables in there
too, such as stress factor, staying healthy, but whatever.

Today I went to pick up my prescription.  Kaiser has now instituted a $250
deductible for name-brand meds, so it was going to cost me $210 for my month's
supply, $75 next month, and then my deductible would be met, and it would
return to the $35 a month I have been paying.

Ouch.

I came home and went online, wondering if I could get it cheaper.  I didn't
find anything.  Even with the $250 deductible, it still averages out to about
$55/month through Kaiser.

My questions are, should I try going off it completely and see what happens?
Can I get it cheaper on line?  Should I go back and try acyclovir again?
Thanks
Cheryl

Hy,

It's a lot of money !!!!!!!!

In Italy we pay just 2 US$ ( symbolic ) for 40 days using the free ( for
everybody) government insurance.

Bye
