Please excuse any ignorant comments I might make.  Over four years ago, I
dated a woman that has herpes.  We dated for 6 weeks and had sex several
times.  She declined when she was "active" and when we did have sex, it was
always with protection and I always immediately scrubbed down, except once.
The one time was without protection and it was very physical.  That night, I
noticed that I had a raw spot on the underside of my penis.  It healed up a
week later although the spot has never gone away.  Whenever I have sex, it
becomes raw again and as it heals, it becomes dry and flakey.  Is this
typical of herpes sores?  It's always in the exact same spot and at no time
has any other sores or lesions appeared in any other location.  What do you
think?  Thanks.

Hey there,

Unfortunately, no one here can diagnose what's going on with you.  Herpes
looks like different things with different people.  The best thing you can
do is to go to the doctor and have it looked at and demand at least a herpes
blood test.
