Hello, has anyone been on the suppresive therepy for a long time?
i just read on another post that your hair starts to break and fall
out if you take Valtrax for to long.. Is this true?

I have waist length, thick curly hair.  I have been on Valtrex for
going on 8 months.  No problems yet.

However, if you read something that makes you go HMMMMM, post the
website or post address as well, so we can have a squizz at it and see
how valid the information that is on the site....=)

Unfortunately, there is a lot of bad information on the net....and a
lot of GOOD information too.  It just takes time to figure it out....

=)

There is some anecdotal evidence of a coarsening of the hair in long
term or heavy Acyclovir use, and hair loss is listed on some sites as
a rare side effect, but from what I've read neither happen all at
once, and can be reversed by taking a break from the drug.

Here's a link to the a.s.h. "hair loss" archives.  ;-)

Take care,
