Hello Joanne,

Why don't you head on over to WebMD where you can get some help from Terri
Warren. Here's the link: http://boards.webmd.com/topic.asp?topic_id=90. She
will be better able to help you with all of your herpes and pregnancy
questions. You can even ask her about the placenta if you want to. She is
far better qualified that I to answer any questions that YOU might have.

Happy Holidays!!!

Yeah, I'll leave this group very soon, which is what you all are
getting at.  But you need to make sure you are giving newbies correct
info.  Stop making them think that their antibodies are passed to the
baby immediately.  I think we now know, they are not.  There is
nothing protecting the baby until 28 weeks of gestation.  For most
women, this is not a problem because MOST women do not get lesions
inside their cervix from a recurrence.  But what about the FEW women
who do?   THAT'S MY POINT..     Sheesh!

Joanne,

Be sure and make it very clear to Terri Warren over on WebMD all that you
have stated over here pertaining to herpes and pregnancy. Good luck in your
life and happy holidays!

Except the mother's own antibodies.

Those women need to consult with their doctor.  If they are not happy
with the answer they get from their doctor they need to seek a second
or third opinion.
