I have never tried one so I can't help you there. I was just wondering if
you were taking any of the antiviral meds. They would help out a lot as far
as protecting your partner goes.

Another thought, ... your girlfriend's lack of symptoms is no
indication that she's hsv negative. And since asymptomatic hsv1 is so
common, you may both be infected with the same type already. It
wouldn't hurt for you both to be bloodtested. Your risk of tranmission
might be lower than you think.

While you are researching all the different types of dental dams ... have
you thought about going on suppression with a good antiviral medication such
as Valtrex?
