Mike,
Thanks for the heads up on the trolls. Sometimes I need reminding before I
go off on tangents and waste my precious time.
I agree with you though . . . it's during labor and delivery if a flare up
is present that there might be some concern. But, I also wanted to point out
that if a woman has herpes prior to becoming herpes then mom is sharing
antibodies with her baby. So, there is still not too much to worry about
even if there is some virus present. There are also many things women can do
to prevent flare ups during labor and delivery. I am currently back on
suppression with Valtrex since the middle of November because I'm about to
have this baby any day now. (I'm 39 weeks pregnant) In any case . . . just
thought I'd mention it.
For those concerned about herpes and pregnancy there are some good links
listed on this page: http://www.yoshi2me.com/page4.html
Happy Holidays!!! :)

That's great Angela. Good luck! Decided on a name yet?

We've all innocently responded to trolls before, and probably will
again. It's no real trick to ask a question on a support group and
get people responding. People are pretty trusting. Over in misc.kids
Joanne has nearly 100 earnest responses to her claims that she can't
have more children. If she's not a troll she's one mixed up cookie.

Woo hoo. Congratulations, Angela, and may it be an easy one. Will
there be a video tape???
Take care,
Mike

No video tapes! lol :)
I don't want to see the baby coming out.
I just want to get the baby out as quickly as possible. LOL
I will definitely be posting some photos on my bio page.
I have some ultra sound photos posted and one of me at 37 weeks.
Just look in the pregnancy portion of my story:

Happy Holidays!!!
Angela :)

From what research I did, in response to the troll, I learned a lot,
especially from the archives. If one has existing HSV going on when
she becomes pregnant, if the virus does 'cross' in utero, it is a
very minimal risk because of the existing antibodies.
It is the cases of NEW HSV during pregnancy, especially ones that
manifest on/in the cervix during pregnancy, primarily in reference to
delivery transference.
>Joanne is still a troll, though. ;-)
I have to say that the troll thing freaks me out a wee bit. WHY WHY
WHY???

We've often said here that researching and answering even the trollish
questions is good for our own knowledge and good for the group. You
did a nice job of pulling that info together and I meant to say so
earlier.

Who knows?
Here's a page about trolls one of the guys on alt.support.stop.smoking
put together:
http://www.quitbuddies.org/Trolls.html
The first link on that page, about halfway down, is another good one.
Take care,
Mike
