is having a family impossible?

I was in a year and a half relationship six months into it i was
diagnosed with herpes.Having never cheated i suspected my girlfriend of
having it but she got tested and said it was negative.we recently broke
up due to her wanting to move back to her parents in Texas.I was to move
there as well after i saved some money while she got a job in Texas.She
realized i was easier to live with her rich parents than try to make it
so we broke up.Now I have herpes and feel as if it will be impossible to
have the family i always wanted.How can i date with herpes?Will any girl
understand or will they all think i am a diseased loser?Are there an
singles groups with people that have this?

Having a both a family and herpes isn't at all impossible. I think there
are more than a few family folks in this forum. I even knew a guy who's
father met his step-mother in a herpes support group. Even if you want to
limit your liasons with hsv-positive folks, that still leaves you 20% of the
general population. And, alas, it sounds like this girl simply isn't the
one for you, but the right one won't have lame excuses like rich family in
Texas. It might take lots of time to find the right person, and you might
never find the right person, but it won't have anything to do with herpes.
Sadly, love is just like that. The right person will love you enough to
accept you as you are. There are singles groups, more than one even.
