I just found out that I have a strand of HSV-1 not the actual virus that
doesn't make any sense to me. I have never had an outbreak not by mouth or
gential so how can this be... I only found out when I suffered from bells
palsy that the doctor seems to think I contracted it through a tick bite is
that even possible I guess I am seraching for clarity and second opinion

Contracts HSV through a tick bite? I don't think so. I would suggest
you talk to your doctor more.

I'd suggest a new doctor. Any doc who'd suggest that is not one that
should be diagnosing or treating herpes.
For more good information about herpes, you might want to take a look
at the free herpes handbook at the Westover Heights Clinic's web site.

Good luck.

You might be a silent carrier. You might have not severe outbreaks,
when i first approached my doctor at the time with concerns that
"something was up" they told me the little red bumps were RAZOR BURN
and then i had a really bad outbreak and BOOM then they woke up. Talk
to your doc more and look up herpes support forums. There is a lot of
spam in this group unfortunately.
