Two things.
First, Suppresive Therapy. Tell hubby to check with his doc and get a
prescription for antivirals. Valtrex seems to be the popular drug of
choice because it's only one pill a day to remember. But if money is
an object, generic Acyclovir can work as well for a lot less expense.
Second, lube. And more lube. Astroglide is a good one.
Check back in later and let us know how you're doing, k?

Kris,
The advice you're probably going to get most from here is to have your
husband tested, if you haven't already (and yourself). Until you (and
the people here) know what you're dealing with...there's no way to give
you advice on how to deal with it. There are a lot of great people on
this site, with tons of knowledge about Herpes and HPV. But you need
to know your status before anyone can really help you.
Everyone's here for you...so let's figure out what you're dealing with.
