How do you know what is or is not in the genetic code??? Intuition?
Paranormal vegetarian green tea insight? Magic eight ball?
Speaking of green tea, I'm wondering what its role was in the massive
outbreak I just suffered. Two afternoons ago I experienced sudden
malaise, terrifying chills, and complete loss of energy. I bundled
myself into bed, shaking and trembling, under extra blankets. Later
in the night I alternated between the dripping sweats and the shaking
chills. Yesterday, sometime, still weak but alive, it occurred to me
that I was not having the flu, but instead was having a rather severe
outbreak. Interesting.
Was it the four bottles of high fructose corn syrup-laden Green Tea
that I chugged between Friday and Sunday? Was it the whole bag of
salted cashews that I crunched about the same time? Or could it have
been the approximately (and I do not exaggerate) eleven assorted
(Andoulle, Polish, Italian, and Brat) sausages, each one loaded to the
gills with nitrates, nitrites, and other artificially unnatural
substances, that I ingested between Saturday and Tuesday? Was it the
Caipirinhas? The Mike's Berry Something drink? The Guinness? The
Wild Turkey? Or how about the chill blasts of winter blowing up my
shorts???? It was COLD the other day.
In any event, I'm chugging Lysine, and have taken my first Valtrex
ever.

The back deck, mainly. But after pouring new cement and jiggering new
four by fours, two by tens, and other assorted pressure treated x by
xs into place, things are pretty steady.
We ripped the dry-rotted stairs off a couple days ago and should
finish a nifty reinstallation later on today.
And let's hope that's all the shakin' I endure for a while.
What's shakin' with you, Yosh?

Today we are headed to my nephews 3rd birthday party. My husband just
completed his associates degree so we will be celebrating that after the
kiddos are in bed, and then tomorrow we have a full day of Church and
hangin' out with our family. Our neighborhood association does a movie every
Saturday night in September at the neighborhood park. This is the first time
we've ever seen anything done like that so we might give that a try. We are
enjoying our new house. If we could just get the old one sold, we'd be a
better shape. :)
I think it's neat that you can fix/build your own deck. That saves so much
money being able to do it yourself. Kudos!! You sound like my husband and my
FIL. They are pretty handy that way, too.
Angela :)

Hi Mike,
Oddly enough, I am suffering through a rather rough outbreak as well. I
haven't had one in a VERY LONG TIME. And this one is pretty bad. Kind of
made me wish I had some valtrex. But eventually, it will go away. I can
only assume it's from the huge amount of stress I'm under at work.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
(Which reminds me, it was Speak-like-a-Pirate Day just last week)
Sorry to hear about the OB, and I certainly do commiserate. I think
this OB is the worst I've ever experienced, and I'm going on at least
seven or eight years with this stuff. And I haven't had anything but
some nearly negligable irritations within recent (albeit limited)
memory. I feel a little better today, and have no complaints about
the Valtrex, though I wish it had occurred to me sooner to try the
stuff.
Sorry to hear you're under stress at work, but on the other hand I'm
glad to hear you are working.
Hang in there. Things *will* get better.

Hi Mike,
We sure do miss you around here. :)
Yes, I'm working!! Thank goodness. :)
It's always talk like a pirate day when I'm around! There is one show I
call and when one particular crew is together with me, we always talk that
way. It's hard to call a show when you are trying to talk like a pirate. I
ask the crew to be very careful on the days we do that because I don't want
to have to explain to my boss that the show went down because I was talking
like a pirate. :)
I'm glad you are doing well.

Oh, hey! You know what? Two weeks ago I got a cortizone shot in my foot
(didn't help much) and now I'm having a very bad outbreak--which I never
get. Hmmmm....I think I shall assume then that what happens to your feet,
truly does affect your nether regions.

One of the misteries about this virus.
I would guess in this case was change of the weather and composition of
the air
that may have affected the immune system.
Get well soon!

Thanks, Perl. That's very kind of you.
Of course, I live in Florida...no change of weather here! Hot, hot, and
more hot.

it's a common scenario of a full blown OB of HSV

you could had choose some better types of sausages; was your choice to
eat what you've eaten. you seem to be overly sensitive to such foods
and ingredients.

It seems that it surely was heavy for your liver.
In plus, the immune system seems to weaken when the weather has sudden
changes.

When do we get to see you demonstrate the "understanding"?

Or maybe it was just the perfect storm of triggers: Loads of bad-ish
food, stress (I'd just traded NUMEROUS Franklins for bathroom fixtures
the day before), environment, and possibly the poison-saturated
pressure treated lumber upon which I'd been sawing the afternoon
away...
In any event, I'm much better now, thanks, the new back stairs are
lovely, and the new closets in the old bedroom are just about framed
in.

A total of four Valtrex seemed to do the trick, and then it was on
into the slow (but thorough) healing phase.
I still don't understand why you think the Herpes virus knows anything
about quantuum forces, ya big galoot. There's nothing rational about
it.
