I recently had sex with a woman I hadn't seen in years. I know she
"sleeps around", so I wore a condom. It never broke. I always check.
The very next day, I get a sore throat. I know this is a flu because my
sister was sick with a flu, so I start taking medication for the flu.
Once the flu is gone, and I feel fine, I see a canker sore inside my
upper lip, near the left cheek. Then I start feeling weak, and the
sore throat returns. Now I have a bad taste in my mouth, and my skin
itches. There's no rash. No fever. Just a sore throat and itchy skin.
Not dry skin or irritated, no sores, no nothing.
My mom says it's anemia. She doesn't know I slept with a woman, and I
won't tell her. I don't believe it's anemia.
Anyone gone through something similar?

If she "sleeps around" and you sleep with her then does that mean you "sleep
around" too?
As for the condom... I think they are great to use for protection but they
are not 100%. They don't cover up the entire genital area. So, that means
that it's still possible to contract herpes even with condom use. (fyi)

In other words... you have attempted to self diagnose yourself, right?
Do you plan on going to the doctor any time soon just in case you're wrong?

Canker sores are not herpes.

I'm unclear... what does the sore throat have to do with your use of
condoms?

That's interesting...

Ok, the title of your post is "Do I have herpes?"
The only way for you to find out if you have herpes is to be tested
specifically for herpes.
Since herpes isn't included in the routine std testing process you might
want to ask to have one done.
I hope you are planning on seeing a doctor or going to a clinic sometime
soon so you can find out what's going on.
Because there isn't any real way to tell you for sure what is going on and
especially not on the internet.
Good luck,
Angela
