Just discovered Valtrex prescription in my wifes med cabinate she says
she does not have herpes and that her obgyn prescribed it to treat
something else. Does anyone know of any other treatments that require
it to be taken on a daily basis. She has had some bleeding issues, hot
flashes, digestive issues and takes other meds such as metoprolol, And
topamax. Could it be possible there is another reason for the valtrex ?

Valtrex can be used for oral herpes simplex  (cold sores), Shingles,
and I even heard reports of it being used to treat severe EBV (Mono)
situations. Generally it is used for herpes viruses. I don't know of
any other uses, maybe the others in this group may.
