My boyfriend might possibly have exposed me to the herpes virus. Would it be prudent to take pictures for possible insurance reasons? Is there some kind of lotion you can put on it ++++++++++++++++++ thanks in advance Lionel Hi Lionel, How do you know you might have been exposed to the virus? Have you ever had a herpes test? Has your boyfriend? No need to take pictures, they won't help you any. There isn't exactly any lotions. There are antiviral medications that can help to control the virus if you need it. Typically the virus causes symptoms for a time and then becomes dormant. From time to time it may flare up again. Symptoms can include oral or genital sores, shingles, chicken pox, etc., depending on how the infection occurred and the exact variety of virus contracted.
