I have told massage therapists, my doctor, eye doctors, dentists. all
health care professionals. How can they help you if they do not know?
Your information is supposed to be confidential. Plus I tell just in
case I have a OB while they are examining me.
I got severe shingles last fall and while the eye doc was wearing gloves
she apoligized for her behavior, but she had never had chikenpox and I had
no problem at all with her . It's ok. I am what I am and life goes on.

I can agree with most of that. I havent told anyone that I have had
Chicken pox (varicella) and maybe only told a couple of doctors I had
mono (epstein barr). I told a couple of doctors about my genital herpes
and hpv, but only ones that I see would need to know. I don't think
dentists and eye doctors need to know that, so I never told them that.
I have told my primary doc and maybe a couple of specialists I went to,
and my counselor. I cannot really see telling a massage person because
they wouldnt be massaging that area.
Of course I would tell anybody I am dating, but I only told my imediate
family and close friends about it. I wouldnt go around telling people
at work or my distant cousins and aunts that i only see every 5 years.
