It is good to wait a bit to tell to determine if this is someone you want to
get close to. But you should always tell before engaging in any sexual
activity. So, you just have to find that right time.
However...keep in mind that NO ONE should be having sex without first
discussing stds, birth control, etc. If you are too embarrassed to have
this conversation, then you are not ready for sex.

Well I think alot of people may act as if its slightly out of the
ordinary, but its very important to talk about that, don't you think? I
know I was devestated and angry when I found out that someone gave me
herpes and hpv, i felt violated like someone took away my choices. I'm
going to be in the same boat in a few dates, if i get that far, but
thats life.
As far as herpes and hpv go, they are both viruses that have similar
types of symptoms and spread in a similar manner, so many groups will
give support to both of these viruses.
