Everyone is probably going to think this is nuts, but on multiple
occasions, I get something weird that happens with my lips. I get this
tingling on the bottom lip, like I am getting a coldsore. Then I look
in the mirror and there is a swollen red area that looks like a
coldsore coming on right below and connected to the bottom lip. In 30
min to 1 hours time, it goes away and nothing else happens. Theres no
blister, no sore, no scab etc. Is this kind of the same as getting
prodrome for genital herpes and then no outbreak?

Thanks,

Al

Yes, it could be.  It could also be an allergic reaction to something.

Hi All,

Yes it could be just allergic, but this happens just spratic, not after
eating. I asked my mother and she said she has that happen also, and I
know that almost everyone in my family gets coldsores so I am not sure
what to think. My aunt and grandmother get coldsores that look more
like the regular type.

Thank you,
Alfred
