Okay, I have genital herpes and have had it for over twenty years. I use no
medications. You are wasting your money. There is no cure. I may have
stumbled on a key to a cure however, and this always heals my blisters
completely within 24 hours. I go for many months, sometimes years, without
an OB. I have had sex with the same partner for twenty years and never
transmitted the disease to her.
Now that I have your attention, please, this is not a joke or a prank. I
want you all to give honest feedback to this thread after you try this so
others will know it is no prank. My cure is simply the juice from a jalepeno
pepper. Yes it burns, but only for a couple of minutes. Believe me, it is
worth the minor pain.
What I don't know and would like to is if it works for women too. It may be
too much for women to bear. I also know from eating Jalepeno peppers that
black olives cut the burn immediately. If you are skeptical, go to your
local deli and get a salad with both peppers and olives in it. If you are a
woman I would keep the olives handy in case it is too painful for you.
Good luck all.

Just for the record, a "cure" is generally thought of as "elimination"
of the virus from the body. Or at the very least, elimination of all
future viral shedding. That includes asymptomatic shedding as well as
outbreaks.
Sounds like what you are talking about could be considered a
"treatment" (just want to get us all on the same page).
> I use no
>medications. You are wasting your money.
You know what they say about opinions, and you're entitled to yours.
>There is no cure.
Exactly.
> had sex with the same partner for twenty years and never
>transmitted the disease to her.
Congrats. Mind if we quote you on that? We have questions about that
very issue from newbies as well as H-negatives considering involving
themselves with herpsters. Everybody's looking for answers to the
"risk" question.
>My cure is simply the juice from a jalepeno pepper.
There's a guy here named Perl who's probably already tried that. And
if he hasn't by now, I'm sure he will.
>It may be too much for women to bear.
oh jeeeze... do you realize the risk you're running with an
inflammatory remark like that? We'll have the whole NOW membership in
here protesting sexism and the whole "women can take more pain" thing.
>I also know from eating Jalepeno peppers that
>black olives cut the burn immediately.
ok... soooooo... black olives cut the pepper burn but...
....what the heck are you supposed to do with the peppers anyway? Eat
them? ... or drip the juice on the lesions?? .... and then which are
you supposed to do with the black olives?
.... and does oil & vinegar come into play here anywhere?
>get a salad with both peppers and olives
ok so the color of the olives are black. What about the peppers... any
particular color better than others?
>If you are a
>woman I would keep the olives handy in case it is too painful for you.
There you go again. I'm tellin' ya, hell hath no fury like a woman
accused of not being able to take pain like a man.... they have babies
you know.
>Good luck all
Thanks, you too.

I've delivered two babies, each of whom was over 10 pounds. Honestly,
I'd take childbirth over a bad herpes outbreak any day!
Us older, bigger ladies sometimes have this little problem called
"stress incontinence", which is a very bad thing in combination with
herpes, believe me. At least when guys have lesions in their groin
they are spared the burning from their own urine - although I seem to
recall cranberry juice is supposed to reduce the acidity of urine or
something like that??
Having a newborn to cuddle makes you forget the pain really quick.
Being unable to enjoy the company of this great new guy who seems to
think I'm hot (clearly he's gone off his meds...lol)..not so much! By
the time this outbreak clears up I'll be back out of commission anyway.
<sigh>
Grant - 08 Oct 2005 21:01 GMT
Hi Diva,
I *think* that cranberry juice is supposed to make the urine so acidic that it
kills the bacteria causing a UTI.
But I really don't remember.
I'm sorry you've got this painful outbreak.

Hang on, I thought there was more to it than that...
Yup..here's a recent one, should contain a fair past review too...

Hi Anon ~
I caught a bit of what you wrote below in some of the other threads. I tend
to read from the latest post and go backwards so please bear with me here...
> Okay, I have genital herpes and have had it for over twenty years. I use
> no medications. You are wasting your money. There is no cure.
Just sharing with you a bit here Anon so please don't take offense ~
I have had genital herpes for 10 years. I currently do not use medications.
However, I have used clinically proven herpes antiviral medications in the
past and do not feel I have wasted my money at all. And you are right when
you say that there is no way to wipe out the virus from your body.
> I may have stumbled on a key to a cure however, and this always heals my
> blisters completely within 24 hours. I go for many months, sometimes

> years and never transmitted the disease to her.
Now I'm not doubting what you are sharing here but would like to add that
there might be other variables worth considering because we can't always
assume everything is how we see it ~
Do you happen to know which type of herpes you have? It could be that the
reason why you can go for many months and sometimes years without an
outbreak that you can see or feel is because you've had the virus for twenty
years. They say that the longer you have the virus the less frequent your
outbreaks will be over time. Another reason why you might not be
experiencing as many outbreaks is the fact that you might have genital
herpes type-1. Genital herpes type-1 tends to be pretty mild compared to
Genital herpes type-2. It's possible that these could be reasons why you
have gone so long without outbreaks. I'd also like to add that just because
you don't have outbreaks that you can see or feel doesn't mean that there
isn't any asymptomatic shedding going on. That's always a possibility.
As for your partner you probably have not transmitted the virus to her ~ I
wouldn't know. But, are you totally sure? When was the last time she was
tested for herpes simplex virus? Hopefully she isn't one of those that has
the virus and doesn't know it. It's certainly possible ~ right? I am married
to a man that doesn't have genital herpes and we've been together since
1998. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have it because the last time he was
tested for herpes was back in 1998. We assume he doesn't have it because he
hasn't had any outbreaks that he can see or feel but do we really know for
sure? No, not really.

By all means if pouring jalepeno pepper juice on your outbreaks helps you
then GO FOR IT. Use it to your hearts content.

Thanks for the suggestion ~ I'm currently in my last tri-mester of pregnancy
and don't think I will be trying the Jalepeno Juice any time soon. In fact,
I'm going to be starting suppressive therapy with clinically proven Valtrex
so that I don't get a herpes outbreak at the time of my delivery. Will keep
you guys posted on how that turns out...

Hi Anon,
I have had genital herpes and genital hpv for years, and I suspect I have
had them somewhere around 9 years. Recently (for the past year or so) my
symptoms from herpes have been worse than normal, but are coming around. I
have tried everything from Valtrex to Tea Tree Oil to Zinc Powder, Lysine
and taking alot of vitamins. To be honest it seems that stress is the
leading cause for my outbreaks and reducing my stress is what caused a
decline in my own outbreaks. As far as pepper juice...I don't know about
that one! I'd be afraid it would burn worse than the sores.

Al,
I wonder how many people have read this thread. By now, someone out there
has tried it. This is no hoax. Yes this treatment hurts, but no more than
the sores themselves, and no more than the pain we carry in knowing it is
chronic. The pain from the treatment only lasts about ten minutes. I realize
that there are many associated diseases that can exhibit similar symptoms.
I'm not saying that this is a cure or a cure-all. I am saying this works. If
this treatment works for you, or if it doesn't, please let others here know
about your experience. I am not selling this, and I am not looking to be
anybody's hero. It's a fact that it works for me.
Al - 12 Oct 2005 04:57 GMT
Its worth a shot I suppose, but the reality is that most of my outbreaks
include little in the way of painful sores. Most are little more than aching
in the groin, and itchy/pinchy pimple like blisters on the inner thighs.
When I get one of my more painful sore types, I may give it a try.

Ill try it. Im not worried the pain :)). I just wondering if warts eve
go compleatly away? Mine have never hurt and have always been verry
hard to even see. But they have stayed? Do theyyyyy leave in all or is
some type of scareing left forever? Ty
Al - 08 Nov 2005 05:03 GMT
Are you talking about genital warts (hpv)? I have that and have had that for
9 years now. They come and go, sometimes on their own or after treatments.
In any case they have never stayed away completely. Mine don't really hurt
either but sometimes if you rub the warts they can feel a little sore and
sometimes a little itchy, but not as bad as with herpes. I have had two
kinds of warts, the larger mole types that are fleshy looking and the
clusters of tiny ones that look like blisters. The fleshy ones are probably
up to 1/4" in in diameter, and the cluster types are each the size of the
head of a pin or less. No they don't scar, and I have heard rumors from some
people that say they have had treatments and then the warts never returned.
I think it is possible for the warts to stop returning, but I understand
that this virus stays in your body forever just as genital herpes does.
Genital warts (hpv) also is transmitted through symptomatic and asymtomatic
shedding through skin to skin contact.

Yes mine are the lil cluster. I just want them gone if its posible. If
i need to get on a tretment to do so np. Just concerned if the warts
stay. Im involved with a woman and she knows the situation. And is
behind me 100% to date:P If the warts can be gone out of site that
would be super. If not ill deal. Iv not been tested but plan to asap. ty
Al - 08 Nov 2005 13:16 GMT
I think if you have the larger ones, and they are on the groin, the doctor
will probably use liquid nitrogen or laser, but laser is much more
expensive, so make sure you have health coverage for that one. Mine was
covered and it was in the $400.00 range for the laser. Nitro treatments tend
to be under $100.00 in the USA anyway. The nitro treatments were done by a
dermatologist who originally diagnosed me with hpv and herpes. The laser was
done by a urologist. If the warts were smaller and right on the penis like
mine are, the doctor wanted to give me Aldara cream, but I never opted for
it. I probably should have, just didn't do it yet.
