Yes, perhaps; that is not relevant for someone that is trying
to see how the triggers change with the time.

When a certain food (or amino-acid, such as L-Arginine), is a trigger,
increasing the ammout of that food
will get you to an OB, sooner or later.

Of course, the purpose of increasing that particular trigger,
is to see how effective a treatment can be.

Between triggers, there are important nutrients' containing foods
that cannot be neglected from an ideal diet, thus
there is necessary to try to overcome the triggering factor.

Nonetheless, the definition in the title, is a misslead for
those that want to treat/try to cure, herpes.

I don't know how that is so.  

But regardless, it's still an important fact that newbies should know.
