Annoying lip blisters

Hey everyone!

I have been getting these annoying lips blisters that seem to form on the
top lips mostly. They seem to be hidden like where the lips meet together
and if I lift up my top lip, they look like a cluster of one or multiple
tiny white blisters in a red outlined area. The area starts off with burning
and then some electrical like twinging sensations, and then I get the
blisters that feel sore and raw for a few days and then go away. What is
weird is that this has been going on since the spring when I met my
girlfriend who has oral herpes. I know she also gets them, so I am thinking
that this is oral herpes and I have that now? If these are really coldsores
(oral herpes) then how come they never form outside of the lips like the
typical coldsores? I always thought that coldsores were on the outside of
the lips and usually bordering the outer mouth area. I sometimes get pimple
like things on the outer mouth near the lips and they are at times sore or
tender, but I am not sure if these are the same or not. I just wanted to ask
you guys what your thoughts are on this from your experience without having
to go to get it cultured. These blisters have been recurring about once a
month or so since the spring.

Thanks,
Al

As I understand, you get blisters in the corners of your mouth?
I've read somewhere that it may be due to a vitamine B2 deficiency.
When I had blisters in the same location, I took homeopathic sugar
pills
namely Nat Mur (Sodium Chloride). They have worked wonderfully.

BTW, you were on Acyclovir recently, I reckon.

Hi Al ~

The only way you are going to know if your "lip blisters" are oral herpes is
to have them cultured.

Take Care,

Angela ;-)

I guess that would be the way to know for sure, but I will have to assume
that they are oral herpes because my girlfriend has that and I just
developed this a month or so after I started dating her. As far as the
location, no they aren't on the corners of the lips, these are more in the
middle.

Hi Al ~

Speculating is not going to get you anywhere.
