Is it possible for herpes to have an outbreak on other parts of the body?
For example' the lower leg below the knee? My girlfriend has what we thought
was a bug bite, but it has been a while, and we are trying to get more
answers.
thanks for any help.

Yes, it's possible for herpes outbreaks to show up on other parts of the
body.

If you are trying to find out if the sore your girlfriend has is herpes she
will need to be properly tested and seen by a doctor.

She should get in to see the doctor within the first 48 hours of the sore
appearing so that a type specific herpes culture can be done to determine if
it's herpes or not.

Remember ~ not every itch or bump is herpes.

Have either of you been properly tested for herpes?

Hang in there,
