CT scan went well yesterday afternoon.
No abscesses, I felt like I was on an airplane listening to the jets
come alive for take off, but didn't feel confined.
the dye made me feel warm and the nurse told me it was like a hot flash,
I have had worse hot flashes then that so it was a piece of cake.
Scary though, the radiologist telephoned me last night and wanted
further information on why I was having the CT scan. Now I am worried,
and I should have asked him what he had seen on radiograph or whatever.
I want to see the scan for myself, or at least a full report.
Went through the gamut of emotional upheaval just trying to figure out
if he had seen something which I already know about from when I broke my
back ( C2 and 3 look fused) or if it was another old injury or something
to do with the swelling under my jawbone.
Anyway, still in upheaval of sorts but hanging in.

Hi, Lynne- it certainly doesn't sound ominous at this point, at least I
hope not, anyway. Sounds more like he was looking for some reason for
you to have asked for the CT, like maybe he wasn't seeing anything
terribly out of the ordinary.
(And to the person who had "hoped" otherwise, they build special
places in hell for people like that...)
I've been away for several days, but doesn't look like I missed
anything earth shattering. I'll be getting to my mail ASAP, I hope.
