Group,
I have received TWO courses of 3 shots each of Hep B vaccine. Subsequent
tests show
non-reactive. It is possible that I cannot develop a titer at all, no matter
how many times
I get vaccinated? I work in a field that involves possible exposure to Hep.
Does the fact that I do not develop anti-bodies mean that I'm already
immune or that
if I do become infected that I never will develop a defense and become a
chronic carrier?
I've been searching for a couple hours and cannot find any definitive
answers. Anyone have any ideas? Adythemic

Have you seen this article? It covers a broad range of HVB inoculation issues,
both successful and otherwise.

From this, I gather the answer*s* to your first question are: if after two
3-shot courses you do not develop anti-HBs, it is highly likely you are a
primary non-responder to immunization - and/or possible that you are already
infected (did you ever get tested for that possibility?) and that the SOC does
not recommend further attempts at immunization.

As for the other question, I'm not sure I saw a *definitive* question/answer
covering that scenario, but a logical conclusion matches your conjecture...
