New HCV drug?

My gastro (treating me for something else) recently told me there is a
new, more effective  HCV drug that looks like it could get FDA
approval in the beginning of 2007. He said it doesn't have a marketing
name yet, and that for now it is just called by a numeric/alphabetic
code name. Does anybody know what this is currently called. I'd like
to do some research on it before talking to my specialist.

I don't think any of the top contenders will be available in 2007 in the US,
anyway. There are some lesser lights that *might* gain US FDA approval some
time in 2007, but if I had a dicey biopsy, I don't think I'd wait.
