Whoa-
I stumbled on Elmo's old websites http://community-2.webtv.net/elmoemerson/TheFamilyAlbum/
and http://community-2.webtv.net/elmoemerson/DocElmosHepFile/
It's been years since I last posted here on the ash-c group. I still
see some of the "old-timers" here.
I did the treatment '04-'05, 52 weeks peg/riba for type 1-a, no
success.
Somewhere on the path I got tired of having this virus, tired of
reading about it, tired of waiting for some pie in the sky new
treatment that was always "five years away". I guess it will happen
when it happens. I won't redo the current regiment, it was too
difficult.
Today, lft's are in the norm. I still have the fatigue but since I
retired last summer and been goofing off I am dealing with that much
better.
I still am in contact with "Catus Jammies" and Maryann in Az. On
occasion I stop by and visit both.
I still have a place in Alaska but don't winter there. I am currently
hanging my hat in San Carlos, Mexico with Momo the cat. I live in a
small RV trailer and like this life very much.
To all a best 2009 and to all my old friends here a big warm Hola!
You can reach me at sourdo55 at yahoo
Elmo? What the heck bud, drop me a note.
Peace

I'm having problems with the google groups via a browser!! Bob, Momo
is doing well and sleeping on my lap as I type. The hernia wasn't as
bad as I was led to belive. There was no intestions protruding past
the adominal wall. It was just a pouch of fat. All is good.

Russ,
Oh wow, just a pouch of fat, kind of like a bit of body armour. Heh,
wouldnt it be nice if we could just have our fat go to a pouch like that so
we could go to the vet when we wanted to lose some weight. That is good!
Are you running Chrome, by any chance?

Dwight- Now that I have no time table and can roam as I please, I may
wander east as things warm up later on. Still playing the guitar and
banjo. I've done some jammin here in the RV park (Totonaka RV park San
Carlos, Mexico) and sure a good way to make new friends.

Hi Banjo Man!
Good to hear from you, and congratulations on your retirement.
We've had one of the coldest winters ever, here on the Sunshine Coast, so a
Mexican beach sounds like a really good idea.
Enjoy, you earned it :-)

HI Spidey! It was very cold in Wasilla the last month. Then it warmed
up 80 degrees, from -30 to +50F! I"m glad to miss all of that.
Take care.

talk about brain fog, it was July 2003 to June 2004 I did the dreaded
treatment. Some things you just don't want to remember. It was 4 years
ago I went to south america which was 7 months after my end of
treatment. The trip was something nice for myself after failing the

Hey Russ I remember when you were here - I was dx in late 2005, TX-d
in 2006 and made SVR....I used check out your website because I lived
in Kodiak back from 72 - 81 0 back when Terror Bay was still a Twinkle
in Someone's eye to the best of my recollection. I enjoyed your pix of
the Terror Bay Project! :)
Happy retirement! Say hello to the sunshine for us. Be Glad you aren't
back up in old AK these days, my cousin in Anchorage said the other
day that after weeks of 3-40 below zero, he got up to a MERE 25 below
that warmed to 5 below by time to leave for work, and it felt like a
HEATWAVE !!!
Be Wll, Russ!
