Goodmorning,
I am a month and two weeks into treatment, I am waiting on the other
shoe to drop so to say. i have had mild side effects so far. I take my
shots on Monday night and go to bed. So far I have had some restless
nights and after I eat I have to take a trip to the bathroom..
The heat seems to bother me, I have alot of hot flashes, but this
may be due to my age as well, I am 47 so it may be the change of life.
Hope everyone is doing good.

Hi Pam,
Glad to hear you're doing well, and best wishes for the rest of it.
I'm interested in your "change of life" comment because I'm pretty sure that
treatment triggered menopause in me at about your age. No biggie, it's a
normal part of life, but I'm wondering if the peg/riba has some kind of
hormonal side-effect. If anyone else has any links or info or even thoughts
on this, please share.

Hi Pam, although I had a "change of life" with my first round of tx, I'm
pretty sure it wasn't "that" change of life". :) My first round wasn't
too bad as far as sides, and I experienced many of the sides you have
mentioned, including hot and cold flashes as well a night sweats. I hope
you do have mild sides throughout your tx and you kill the dragon.

I was well into menopause when I started tx, and the hot flashes were
driving me crazy. I think the meds 'rushed' me through it, the hot flashes
went away and never did come back. (no complaints here!)

HI Pam,
just a quick note....Don't worry about that other shoe-it may never
drop!
Don't put any more pressure on yourself that you don't need. The hot
flashes stink! I'm 44 and have made to the cooler side(Ha-ha)So it can
be done.I realize that does not help anything, especially during the
summer months.
Well like they say here-Drink lots of water, moisturize and Keep
kicking dragon butt!! If you have questions we are all here. :)

Goodmorning,
I have been going thru menopause a few years now, so if the meds get
rid of these hot flashes that would sure be nice.
As for my dragon my Dr. called with my first lab results, no sign of
him, so keep praying I know he can still be lurking around, and the
two test I want is in 6 months and a year
