Post Tx Concern...

amzolt - 20 May 2008 22:14 GMT I'm 20 days past Tx and need support.
I'm feeling a bit more strength each day but my fatigue levels seem to be increasing--'couse I'm trying to walk 30 mins a day, too.
I still have some weird combo of nervous system whack-out and inner- ear instabilities--lean too far that way and oops, watch it!
Advice, comfort, slap in the face?

Towards that end, keep drinking lots of water!
I felt a noticeable "lift" in both body and soul starting about a week after the last Peg shot, though most of that was likely due to the anemia starting to ease. From there things improved slowly but surely, but it was a good six months before I felt I was getting close to pre-tx shape on most counts, and almost a year before my fine motor skills fully returned. For whatever reasons, my hands were significantly impacted by the year on combo, and this took the longest to finally resolve.
Don't be too hard on yourself pushing the rehab efforts. Some things just take time, and for sure 3 weeks isn't enough.
Cheers - and be well.

You spent a LONG time putting poisons into your body, give your body time to get rid of them and heal itself now. 3 weeks is hardly any time at all... it took me months to feel human again and actually find myself with ENERGY and WANTING to do things!
Little by little you'll notice yourself doing more and feeling better, but it's not real obvious, it's slow and steady.
take it one day at a time.... and be good to yourself :)

amzolt - 21 May 2008 14:12 GMT Normin, Thip, Greyhackles,
Thanks a heap!
Sara already joined and I've added more info to it but here's a reminder of the Dragon Fighters group I've started (low traffic):

Cactus Jammies - 21 May 2008 16:16 GMT Well Alex I would have joined but the membership requires that I live in the USA and I will never give up my birthright so unless I register from a phoney place, I cannot Join.

Not parochial, not personal, just sound business strategy-- their advertisers target USA customers with health concerns, so they restrict membership to that demographic.

So you can now feel more kindly towards the "parochial" website creators, who are just trying to make a livng. Personally, I avoid these sites because they prey upon sick people's fears and desperation. Usenet is chaotic, but it's... well, authentic :-)

Wanna know a good one? I was checking out he contents of my local settings/temp dirctory and I found a folder in there called 'outlook logging'. It sounds suspicious, eh? Well I opened the folder and found one file. FirstTry.log So wondering about it, I googled it. And sure enough the competitive edge of our wonderful 'opportunity to sell anything to a rube' ethic was well displayed, some hits warned of bugs or critters infesting the system and only such and such a registry cleaner can be trusted to get rid of it spick and span. But anyone who has questions about deleting files should know that anything in a temp file can be deleted, that is unless you are in the middle of installing something. zap. the whole collection of tempis fugit wound up in the trash can. Business is pretty courrupted in a lot of ways. The only reason that website does not allow someone from outside the USA to register is because they forgot to expand the drop down. Just narrow vision, that's all. At least they are not expanding on nothing, expecting that nervous nellies might subscribe to their cleanser software offer.

Comfort...slap in the face....naw, neither one. You MADE it. YOU DID IT. Go drink a gallon of water and then leap tall buildings at a single bound.
