Well I got a call from the dr. who left a msg., said the results of my
biopsy showed: "chronic-c with minimal active grade 1, no-fibrosis"
whatever the hell that means.

What that *is* is the lowest biopsy score you could have received :-)

Stage: On the 0 to 4 scale, effectively you have Stage 0 damage - which is to
say, no damage - at least as could be determined by whomever read your biopsy
sample.

Grade: On the 0 to 5 scale, you have minimal ("1") inflammatory activity.

Pretty hard to beat those numbers on the good side. Be happy!

Cheers

Hey TC
Your results are almost as good as not being chronically infected at all.
Your doc and you will probably now consider your viral load, and to keep on
monitoring your ALT and AST levels for a set period of months.  I wouldn't
dare guess what your doc's advice will be regarding the time for the start
of treatment.  I think that could be negotiable pending insurance coverage
and job needs.

It doesn't sound like you have to be in a real hurry, but then I am not your
doctor.  :)

Same old same old - which is just fine with me ;-)
Just waiting out the winter - which doesn't seem to be in any hurry to end!

Great news.  No liver damage and low inflammation.  That's what
everyone hopes for.   Your situation isn't urgent so you have some
options to consider.  Congratulations on the present situation.
