I don't know. I do know that oatmeal helps relieve constipation.

I did Google it and I saw a wall chart at VA hospital that listed
Senna as not good for the liver but none of this told be "how" bad--
i.e., just something that you should prefer not to use or something
it's flat-out dangerous to use....

Who cares how bad? A little bad is a little too much. Eat your oatmeal
and you'll solve your problem. Wash it down with some prune juice.

It's not something people should use with liver disease.  Just off the
top of my head is it can lead to Hepatorenal syndrome.(kidney
failure)
It causes fluids to leave the body rapidly when taken.  Someone who
has hepatitis or any kind of liver disease it is just as important to
watch out for the kidneys too.
If you google Senna you will see how many cautions follow this.
Your Gastro should give you any advice on this.

Ya know, since I've been in Tx, I've spent over $1,000 at the iTunes
store for what I consider my music therapy--works, too !

Hmm...

Wonder what would happen if I found a little bitty speaker and put it
up my rectum...?

I used to chase down my Ribavirin caps with a glug of extra virgin olive oil
when I was on tx.  It seems that EVOO did the deed for me.  I dashed a bit
of balsamic vinegar into the jigger I used for the EVOO.  It was a real
highball.  Of course I was eating foods with lots of fibre, too.  Such as 9
grain cereal which is mostly oats.
