When I was finally diagnosed with hep c, seriously ill, I was given a
tentative 3-5 year prognosis before things got "critical." That was five
years ago. But, I did treatment, it worked, life is great. Today I got
myself a badge of accomplishment, lest I forget.
The butterfly is symbolic of rebirth, the stone a symbol of heart and life
(but you could say, "it's not the life, it's the liver") and do note that
the dragons are controlled and submissive. Most of my friends and none of my
acquaintances know how much this means to me. Some of you will...

it's perfect, I wish I was a fraction as creative :)  If I ever
get the courage up, I'd like something similar (or would you
consider giving me permission to copy, and email me a jpeg?)

It's not my design, I'm nowhere near that talented. The artist does only
very personal, one-of-a-kind pieces, but I'm sure you could find someone to
do something similar that's even more appropriate and meaningful to you.

I'm glad you like it :-)

well I'm not used to these kind of things but I'm going to give it a
whirl!
Here is My Trophy - it hung in plain sight all thru TX where I would
see
it the moment I woke up and the last thing before going to sleep, to
remind me - It is a "Dragon Slayer".

Having reached SVR it hangs in a place of honor in plain sight these
days :) Whatever works for ya!

I hope this works! :)

Very cool trophy. In case you don't check back to Flickr, I sent you an
invite to Dance With the Dragon group there.
The invitation is open to any photographer-heppers who are interested. Have
a look...

Very nice tat, Spidey.
I celebrated the end of tx, part deux, with 2 tats as a blessing and prayer
of protection for my two grandchildren.  Done in minimalist traditional Thai
style to match my old dragon tat.  Nothing special to look at, but I really
like them.  Spiritually speaking, they are very uplifting.
