Hi,
I am new to this site...
I was diagnosed with Hep C in about 2003 tried the Pegasus and the
ribo with no change and had to stop do to my counts. I tried a second
treatment and had to stop that due to low platelets. However in
October of 06' I received a liver transplant.Long story short here it
is Jan of 08' and I start treatments again next Monday.
I have read some of the other questions and I guess I should tell you
I am geno type 1.I will take a shot once a week and a pill(s) twice a
day. They say I should know if it is doing anything after 12 weeks but
I'm on for the 72 week. Not sure of my viral load just yet.I guess what
I'm babbling about is this..Any advice??

No advice.
Just congratulations on your second chance at life.
Not everyone gets that.
Good luck with the tx.

Thanks so much and believe me I know - this is more like my 3rd. I

years later..Not complaing-still here!!

Sounds to me like your head's in the right place, and you already
know it's not going to be an easy task ahead of you, but
hopefully a very worthwhile one!  You must be made of some really
tough stuff, to have gone through so much already and still be
ready to take on the dragon!  Kick some dragon butt, we'll be
here to support your efforts and hopefully answer your questions
as they come up.

Only advice I can offer is to take it "one day at a time".  You
can do anything, one day at a time.  When the going gets tough,
remember that tomorrow is another day.  Get plenty of rest, and I
hope you have a good family support system in place to help with
everyday chores, grocery shopping, cooking, etc.  You need to
concentrate on kicking dragon butt and hopefully others can take
care of the rest for you.
