How long to get genotype results for hcv?

So far it's been 16 days.

Might it take longer over Christmas time?

2.8 million virus count.

Mine came along with the viral load count I believe.  Are you sure you
didn't overlook it, perhaps?

Yeah, the Doc said that it was kind of expensive compared to regular lab
stuff.
They took blood four times so far since May, Dec. 11 was the genotype.
The Doc said if I was the right genotype he could start me on treatment now.
I think that if I have a tough strain, he means I should do watchful
waiting, I guess.

Definately could be affected by the holidays.   People are off and the
process moves slower.   Also, it is not uncommon for this to take a
couple of weeks or so.    Hope the right genotype shows up for you.  I
remember my surprise when I found out my type was geno 2.  Thought I'd
get the wrong type like most.
