>HOW BOUT THOSE SOX?? I don't know about you, but I'm going to bed at 7
>PM every night THIS week and try to feel human again.....
ahahahahaha! We're still floating a few inches above ground here in Bean Town!
I went to the parade yesterday and it was *awesome* - being surrounded by a
few hundred thousand of my closest friends was a blast :-)
It was a brutal playoff schedule for us old farts. The worst was Game 2
against Cleveland - I had spent the day flyfishing for steelhead and salmon up
on a Lake Ontario tributary, a day that started at 4am and didn't end until
nearly 2am the next day. Cripes - I was beat like a rented mule after that
game ;-)
Compared to that, the Series games were cake. Total domination by the Sox.
I give props to the Rockies for going 21 of 22 to make it to the playoffs, but
they were clearly out-classed in all aspects of the game. I guess having three
times the payroll explains much of that...
Sad to hear Schilling is likely done, and hoping that the Sox re-sign Lowell.
He has always been a class act and it would *really* suck if they can't entice
him to stay.
REALLY sad the season is over, though. I'll miss baseball for the off-season.
If it wasn't for the Discovery Channel and History Channel, and the Patriots
(GO PATS!) I probably wouldn't turn on the TV again until Spring Training!
Cheers!
