Hi all,
as I said before I had the last test (2 years after End Of Treatment)
redone.
Today I finally got results and it is UNDETECTABLE.
No way to explain, for me, how I felt when I read them. Of course I felt
good but I've no words to explain it better.
Anyway, I was quite puzzled. So I asked for _a_ doctor there to give me
some kind of explanation.
I told him about the treatment and all the good results I've had from
EOF to last March, and then about the last test.
I asked him to give me his opinion about the whole thing.
He said that I should "take it easy, now", that the last (positive)
result had to be due either to an error or to a momentary resurface of
the virus.
Than I was even more puzzled.
I thought that, yes, there can be some rare chances to see a late
relapse but still I've never heard about a "momentary resurface".
I went away thinking that maybe he wasn't completely aware of the
subject and called the doctor who followed me during treatment.
She said that this is good news but also that she wants it confirmed now.
So I'm due to undergo a further test in a month or two. We'll decide
when to schedule it in the next days.
What do you think about it?
Thanks,
jeeb.

Sounds like a "momentary resurface" alright.... of a lab screw-up!
Glad to hear your (most-likely) real results are 0.

Jeeb,
Wonderful news!!!! I think it was a lab error. Best that you called
the treatment doc, and you probably will have another UNDECTABLE : )

I think you're lucky to have someone so cautious looking after you, and I
think you're cured.

Hi Dwight, Thip, eileen and Russian, thanks for your replies and concern.
I appreciated every single word and it was really important to me
feeling how you "read" the news, it helped to see things in a less
anxious way.
Dwight, eileen and Russian, thanks for encouragement and Thip, yes, I do
think that I've had good doctors during treatment and I am happy I can
still talk to them even now.
We'll see what happens.
Cheers,
jeeb.
