Took the shot twelve hours ago.Waited about three hours and went to bed as
suggested. about 130 Am awakened with serious sweats( time for the towel)
and the worst case of Flu/ hangover I ever imagined. Got up around 4 Am and
I was colder than I ever thought possible with a case of the shakes that
just took over my body. About 6 Am took the Riba and called a friend to give
me a hand with Dog and take out the trash for pick up. I've got a mild
headache and am still sweating But I CAN DO THIS.
Thanks to ya'all for your support and suggestions.

And you're off and running :-)

If you follow the norm, that was the worst of the "flu" sides you're going to
experience. But keep the towel handy ;-)

Next up: When the Riba kicks, you're gonna need to seriously up your water
intake. Don't ever be without a bottle for the next 48-something weeks.
Dehydration really f.cks with your body in many ways, so try to avoid all that
by drinking lots o' fluids.

Cheers

It's my under standing that I need 1 OZ of water for every 2 #s of body
weight. Comes out to about a gallon a day.
also, does Tea, Coffee, diet soda, Etc. Count towards total. Other than
being Cold and Wet that soda pop this am tasted like crap.

My doctor told me to drink all that water, over and above
anything else I drink.  I found if I started feeling bad, or
light headed, if I drank a whole bottle or large glass of water
it helped enormously. (even now, if I start feeling 'crummy', I
grab the water.  it really helps)

Be sure to take your Riba with some kind of fat containing
food -- toast and butter, or peanut butter, a bowl of cereal and
milk, bacon and eggs :)  whatever, just eat with it, and be
consistent.  It not only helps with absorbtion of the meds, it
makes you feel better.

Tea, coffee, and caffeine containing sodas will all DEhydrate
you, you may want to tend to avoid those as much as possible.
also avoid HOT showers or baths, use warm water, and find a good
lotion for itchies.  I found Aveeno products were very helpful,
but everyone is different.  I also kept hydrocortisone creams
around, they helped with the small itchies.  (a super hydrating
shampoo also comes in handy, your hair and scalp will really dry
out and your hair will start thinning -- and turn into something
you don't recognize :)  I swear my cowlick moved!)

and remember to take the tylenol -- it really handled the
flu-like symptoms for me.

I finished treatment about 7 weeks ago.  Funny thing is, I'm
still drinking LOTS of water. you get used to it :))

Sara
who was still undetectable at the 4 week after treatment labs
(even though I had very mild sides throughout tx)-- and all other
tests were 'normal'.  Liver enzymes, RBC, WBC, etc.  Doc is quite
pleased :))   I'm holding out for that 6 month verdict tho lol.

My first shot was like that too but since then (Friday I'll take shot 36)
they haven't been that bad. No sweats, no shakes, no flu symptoms only a
mild sense discomfort. I have had very few sides. The worst has been the
infamous rash which seems to come and go.

Here's hoping your ride gets easier!!
