If I do, KJ, I will post it up in photobucket.  I got quite a mess going on
in there right now.  Glad you like the dike bike hike pix.  There are lots
of suitable scenes for wildlife and scenery sketching or painting.
Hopefully I will get over there later on to do some of that.

Ya I can remember when the Habs and the Leafs would play, my dad detested
Toronto and when His Easternship of Hockey, Lord Hewitt of Puck would try
and pronounce "Yvan Cournoyer" he would just wince and have another pull of
his "Old Style".

Do you remember the Hockey Night in Canada theme music before the current
one?  ("Turn in at the sign of the big "BA"..)  Before Esso bought out
British American Petroleum back in the early sixties, I think.

A vet and fellow legionnaire ran the the BA outlet on Main Street in
Penticton where I was a squirt in the fifties.  It was a real heartbreaker
to see the old BA give over to the conglomorate Standard Oil of New Jersey.
(Esso)

Amazing what trivia you remember.  Like the animated juke box over at the
Commodore Cafe, where the three Penticton Vee's (hero hometown hockey team)
bought up the local hangout, where the team fans would drink coffee or meet
after the game to feed the kids and send them home, and head for the Three
Gables for some beers.  I remember when it was still really important that
all the men that ran things were vets.  No carpetbaggers.  That was a big
deal then.

anyways
