If you are going to be getting an injection at this visit I would suggest
that someone go with you. You really don't know how you will respond. The
first injection for me was unpleasant. Chills, fever, headache etc. Of
course this didn't start until  a few hours after the injection. After the
first injection, I had no problems other then the occasional rash and minor
fatigue.

Good luck and keep in mind that the treatment isn't always debilitating.
I was undetectable at 12 weeks and just had injection number 34 (or is it
33) last Friday.

Relax, Glenn.  It probably wouldn't hurt to have someone go with you,
you might not 'hear' everything your doc tells you, especially if you're
nerveous.  They probably want to teach you how to give your own shots.
It'll take hours before you notice any significant effects.  You'll be
just fine, but expect some 'mild flu-like symptoms'.  <snicker>  Good
luck, man!

Saw the shrink today. He said I was cleared for the the treatment. As I
am going to see The Nurse That Will Be Guide, tomorrow, he also said
that I should expect for the Treatment to start ASAP. My question is
This: Will they do some sort of indoctrination, or should I get someone
to go with? Its about a 40 mile trip. Believe it or not I'm just a tad
nervous right at the moment. Will write if I find work

Enzymes are well within normal range
Diabetes is under control with a half Rosie a day I think I am hcv type
C but won't gamble on it.
I was told by BGLD to eat high carb protein diet and to snack,especially
at night. Have lost a much needed 100# lbs, since September when an
ulcer caused a forced coma for 5 days while it was debated whether
Varices or other, peeled 60 some #s during that bed rest

Are docs ready to put me on anti d's prior to start, as there is a time
lag for effectiveness
Since I will be basically alone during this, who do I call with
questions, fears, problems etc
How do I learn the mechanics of the shots and pills soas not to queer
the program.
Yoall get the idea, any questions, comments, directions, or a basic what
the hell are you thinkin will be greatly appreciated. I do suffer from
brainfog at times and make some of the most foolish mechanical
decisions. If you are in the area and want to lend a face to this, or
just get a good laugh, Stop on by , I have yet to be afflicted with the
POPOMES or thin skin. And I always have something that needs attention
in the house, the garden, the yard,and even behind my little bright eyes
