I am doing good. I guess the biggest thing so far is the fatigue. I
get so tired that I can't do anything. It is hard to even carry on a
conversation at times. I get a lot of headaches and stomach cramping
as well. Other than those few things it is going smoothly so far. I
am very pleased. Mom had a very nice Easter for us. She went all
out. The food was very yummy as usual. How was your Easter?

Hi Katie-- good to hear from you!
Thanks for asking about my Easter. I stayed in bed til 10, stayed in my
p.j.s til 2, then had a toke and went for a wander in my yard-- my idea of
The Perfect Day!
My sweetie borrowed his brother's pressure washer for the weekend, so I
spent about an hour cleaning this huge rock that was placed (by an
excavator) a couple of years ago, the centrepiece of my garden. I got soaked
in the process, and Fraser (my cat) was pissed off with all the noise and
splash, but it was a beautiful spring day here, about 60 F and sunny, and a
real pleasure to be outside after months of rain and cold.
Oh man, the last thing I would have done on tx was go out for dinner, but I
guess dinner at Mom's is not so stressful (I hear through the grapevine that
your ma is a great cook). The headaches are a bitch though, I can remember
them very well. For me, and hopefully for you, they eased off after a few
weeks but that first bit was rough.
How are your injection sites? That was something else that was not good for
me; the first couple left huge welts. Dunno if it was because of the way I
did them or if my skin needed to get used to the drugs. And... a tip from
the old broad (me): your skin will dry out, so make sure that you do some
preventive work in that area. Aveeno oatmeal baths are lovely to hydrate you
skin, and also relieve the itching. Oh, you're not itching yet? Just wait...
<evil grin>
You take care, Katie, and don't be a stranger here. I guess it might be a
bit intimidating cuz we all feel like we know you, and we all know so much
about you and your mom, but please don't let that worry you. Please, take
full advantage of our experience with tx and the hours of research that some
have done and are happy to pass on.

Glad to hear the side effects seem to be in the "normal" range.
At least you're eating OK. A big plus IMO.

My Easter was pretty good. Went to church, as usual, then over to my
folk's house for dinner. My mom whipped up a fabulous meal....I brought
the blackberry pie. Watched the Cards beat up on the Atros and took a
nap. :-)
They say drinking lots of water will help with the fatigue. Eating well
and getting rest will help too.
Take good care,
elmo
