Don't worry, you've already lost it.

Please forgive me. I'm obsessing about my hair and it's affecting my
manners.

From what I've seen here everyone's side effects are different.  If
that's what happening to you then that's what's happening.

I remember some people recommending Nioxin shampoo, saying it made a
difference for them.  Might be something to try.

Hi Gordo how you bee man?  Do you have any ideas for this chap who is
looking for a tx doctor in Manhattan?  Not sure if you saw his post... I
don't think he is losing his hair (yet ha ha), but it seems like he is
trying to do a lot of homework in a hurry :-(    See "Looking for a
doctor" posted on the 19th

Just a thought

Hey - doing good, waiting for spring to help with crawling out of my
hole.

I saw his post, my doc doesn't take his insurance, though.

How you been?

My apologies for butting into your conversation, but I want to thank
you for remembering me. Today, I found two docs who work at the Beth
Israel hospital--highly recommended, and take my insurance. I'm very
excited--see my PCP tomorrow, made appt. for the liver doc (well, two
of them...I'll have to pick one) for next week.

And yes, I *am* in a hurry--it doesn't look like I'll have my
insurance (Medicaid+HIP, an HMO) come January 2008, so I want to get
started ASAP (but still, I am trying to learn about it as much as I
can). I'm not happy about the rush, but hey, it's not really up to me
at this point. I've always just brushed aside my HepC as a mere
inconvenience, but after reading this group, I became convinced I must
do it now, while there's still time...I hope.

Ah yes, the hair, mate, the hair! Just please, please, someone tell me
it will grow back! I mean, it's bad enough that I'm starting to look
10 years older than my 29 because of lots of grey hair...sigh. Maybe
some miracle with cause my hair to re-grow the colour it had when I
was 19, eh? Also, do you lose the hair from your head, or other parts
of the body as well?

It feels good to be a part of this place to the extent that I'm a
subject of a conversation and a good-humoured joke. I feel I'll need
more support later, when the Tx begins, if all goes well...meanwhile,
I'll be gathering as much homework as I can, in a hurry ;-)

Speaking of homework--came across someone I know today, and the guy
happened to have some good ganja for sale. I haven't smoked any in a
year or two--with time, I found that I just would withdraw from
interacting with people while under the influence, so I stopped. But
now, after reading how much it helps with some bad symptoms, I put the
stuff away, just in case. So yes, homework indeed!
Cheers,

Your hair will come back to whatever your genetics intended it to look like,
roughly 6 months after you complete therapy.

I've said it before: herbal refreshment is *huge* when you're doing the combo.
Stock up, son :-)

In one of your other threads, you expound on the doctors you're trying to
chose between. From what I saw, you're looking in the right direction, but you
could probably flip a coin between the two docs and not go wrong :-)
Good stuff.

The group is pretty cool, on balance. We have our cat fights on occasion, and
there's always a rabble rouser just a Bad Hair Day away from getting all up in
our collective faces, but we get by, regardless.

And the value doubles when you're on therapy ;-)

Cheers
