This year has started dismally for friends and acquaintances around the
world, but today I realized that with my circumstances I am really a
lucky person. I'm alive and the world can still be a wonderful place.
No, I haven't had any great news today, I haven't won the lottery (not
the state lottery anyway), and my daughter's basketball team just lost
their game. That being said, the sun was shining today, I was able to go
to my daughter's game, and in general got to live another day. Tomorrow
may suck, but until then I'm enjoying the life I have and hoping all of
you get a chance to do the same.
