I got an email from Bri's mother this morning....he passed away in his sleep on Jan 4th. Bri was a good friend....I'm going to miss him. Was he/she not a candidate for transplant? It was a particularly 'tight' bunch of merry pranksters and we're all still loyal friends to this day. Bri was also known to post in sci med under the handles 'Swamprat' and 'connor'. He also posted here very occasionally. Yeah, he had cirrhosis but couldn't get on the transplant list. He never was able to overcome the demons that followed him all his adult life. I'm angry that he didn't take better care of himself. But, regardless, I love the guy and am going to miss him. Ended it with a sunset from his deck, on the lake with "Into the Mystic". Undoubtedly, he'd still be with us if he could say he had 25 years of sobriety too. But that was his choice. We all live and die by the choices we make. Bri's friend that died too was 'Michael'. Michael's wife was named 'Cindy'. You'd see Bri with a fishing pole in his hands alot too.
