I like the way the nurse put it - I am two months post tx now, and
only a couple of days ago, my S.O. commented that it is nice to see me
interested in anything again! Found myself noticing "dust" on the
bureau the other day, and realized that it wasn't long ago that I
would not have even noticed it and even if I did, and it was 10 inches
deep, I wouldn't have cared, LOL! Things have improved vastly, but
there are still bad days - like today. I can usually figure if I knock
over my coffee before I get more than two sips , its gonna be one of
THOSE days.... Sunday morning I got up early and noticed the sun
rising over the trees outside the large picture window in the kitchen
and decided to just stay up (early!) because it was so nice, and the
sun felt good. Gosh it felt good to feel good. Most things have
improved, and hopefully will continue to get better abd better :)

I know what you mean. For awhile, I thought it might be better if I
just plotted a couple of 36"x48" drawings, laid them on my desk, and
dumped a cup of coffe on them. That way, I could just get the
inevitable out of the way early on. Kind of a "swallow a live toad
first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen the rest of
the day" strategy.
As far as getting up early, I have two dachshunds that start forming
up the chow line every day at EXACTLY 6:30 am. Usually, I just feed
them and go lay on the couch. Maybe I'll start looking out the window
a bit myself.
