Bob - 27 Jan 2007 00:48 GMT Well look who's here...Still ain't dead yet, but frezzin' my a.s off. Old hep C got nuthin on me. Its been rough though elmo, I'm at that age ya know. Best buddy died after successful transplant, the c came back and ate him to pieces, "hey Bobby, play me something sweet on the guitar, let me here that voice one more time"..."Bird on a wire" and 6 hours later, back into the fog, then dead. Most horrific death I've seen. 3 months earlier my 16 year old dog died, and my wife is suffering terribly from chronic lymes. Daily infusions begin next week, gotta drive 2 hours to infusion center. (Henry keep them brakes of for this corner if you please) Nephew just checked out down in NY, that crack pipe sings the headbangers waltz. Acupuncture, thistle and that dandilion who tells no lies holdin me together. Even forced my self to do a gig last week, Ya never even called me by my name, and You ain't daddy's little girl any more.'
Two riders are approaching, I can't get no relief!!!!
(English version, got a isp that can get newsgroups, how ya all doin? In the fight fer 10 years now, ya can find my Pic in Tommy's family, I gots de banjo Bobby

I haven't learned to play the Blues yet, but I'll pick something out and play one for you tonight.

Dwight /////////// There's an old Danny Gatton song on his 'Cruisin' Deuces' album called 'So Good' you might want to play along with. ahahahahahahaha!!!! It's a rather lively '50's style blues song that'll keep you busy for a couple of hours learning Danny's part. hehe Actually, the guitar playing on the whole damn album is pretty amazing. elmo hot dog fingers in Am

I sort of know how you feel, my best friend died 5 years ago when his air ran out fighting a fire in KC. Kind of leaves you with an angry, hollow feeling that never seems to go away entirely. Another friend of ours visited me a couple months ago and we sat for hours talking about some of the stupid things we all used to do way back when. Laughter has a way of muting tears of sorrow. David Allan Coe was supposed to be playing here in town a couple of weeks ago but cancelled when we had our ice storm. He owns a house in the Ozarks and does a couple of shows a year here in Springfield. Why he's still talking to the blues, heaven only knows. Not much different going on for me since we talked on the phone a while back, except that I've gotten a few more sigs on the Martin. LOL. Elvin Bishop and Johnny Winter...Shameika Copeland and Tab Benoit to name a few. Got me a different Strat to play...... Lace Sensors, rolling nut and Schaller locking tuners.... a real 'screamer'. You still have the same phone number? elmo still crazy after all these years....all these years

Bob - 28 Jan 2007 14:44 GMT > > Talkin to the blues [quoted text clipped - 44 lines] > > http://community.webtv.net/elmoemerson/TheFamilyAlbum Hey Tommy, Happy Sunday!!!! The years surly roll past. Unbelievably, I'm just about the healthiest person I know. My wife fired her doc down in NY Thursday, we had to ride 5 and a half hours for appointments where all he did for the fee was draw blood, tell her to come off her meds till he got the results, not alert us for two weeks, then she'd have to restart and build up to theraputic level over 40 days, only to go back down and start over. Finally a Vt doc stepped up after call to Mr. Sanders about discrination (VT will not treat chronic lymes) was like us when they said we have depression, not hep....Anyways, doc and infusion center is only an hour away, daily infusions, 18 months. We started on this journey 2 years ago!
I'll take Chicago bro, in Super Bowl, my step daughter had us out there for Christmas. Went to house of blues and git-down juke joint a block from her house, right near the Hancock building. First time in a city in 20 years. Shuckin and jivin still part of the personality....Also looked like a great city to be homeless in, just in case. Spent early morns drifting the city streets, only made one wrong turn a cop says to me, "Don't know where your from, but Cabreeny Green is where you is". Headeded back to the lake, popped into the back of a church on Dearbourne and celebrated my 25th AA aniversary. Went to Virgin records afterwards, bought new re-mixed beatles cd, Uncle Tupelo's 2nd, and a Pogues live import.
So, -5, snowing, figuring the friend you was talkin to was either the woman of the mountains or Bri-Kid, If you see Mr. Coe, git em to play, I drunk my wife away, dedicate to my first one
Keep healthy, next chapter, "How I fought the VA/Treasury dept and won Bobby

That's alot of miles on the car driving to and from the infusion center. I knew someone who had Lyme Disease and wore an infusion pump for quite awhile. Is that an option in your wife's case? I'm sort of pissed off this morning. We had a really bad ice storm a couple of weeks ago and the gal that lives next door has abandoned her house for now. The place is a run down shack...a tree crushed her front porch and she left the first night of the storm. The water pipes burst underneath her house and she doesn't have money to rip her floor up to repair the pipes. So it doesn't look like she's coming back any time soon. What pisses me off is that she left her cat at the house and isn't bothering to leave food for it. I'm about ready to call the Humane Society over it. That might very well be a death sentence for the poor cat. I don't know what to do about it. I'm no cat lover but I hate to see any animal starve to death.
You were in Chicago and didn't go to Legends? Shame on you! ahahahahahaha!! elmo Wouldn't surprise me if Juanita and Bri stopped in to say howdy.
