After a full week of not having any power, the lights went on about an
hour ago.  You never know how much you miss the basics til you lose
them.  I stood on my neighbor's porch last Friday night and watched as
limbs fell on power lines around the neighborhood, small explosions and
flashes of light.  It would have been pretty cool, except......  On the
morning of the third day, I gave up in the morning when Buddy looked at
me and said "Let's get the hell out of here."  It was frigid in the
house.  Stayed at my folks' house two nights before I got tired of
listening to the 'you should give up smoking' every time I went outside
to light one up.  And I'm not much into what they watch on TV either,
LOL.  And I couldn't throw the ball to Buddy in the house (too many
expensive lamps and sh.t).  So I was bound and determined to get back
home no matter what.  I found a kerosene heater and some keresene that
kept the place warm, but lit the house with candles...and no TV.
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!  There's no place like home.  My house didn't take any
direct hit from falling trees, but my fencing all needs to be replace,
as well as my beloved blackberry frame and netting.  I'll be busy with
the chain-saw for awhile, won't need to buy wood to stoke the smoker
this summer.  hehehe
We're expecting a major snowstorm tomorrow....am going to sit inside and
laugh at it.
Cody, thank God the power is back on....I'm Bushed.
More later...
Elmo

Hey Elmo, *you* always "got the power" (like in the song). <smile>

Glad to hear your electric is back on, though.
