Hey John glad to hear you completed the journey! I too finished up at
Thanksgiving and I wondered how you are feeling now that you are a few
weeks post drugs. I noticed fairly quickly that the hurt and ache all
over feeling subsided, the the brain cells started firing up again - at
about two weeks post drugs. The horrible hacking cough that has been
with me since two weeks into treatment has about let up as well. So
things are looking up.
I do seem to be experiencing some mild shooting pains around the liver
area, and random shooting pains in random areas, but really not enough
to get me too excited. I still seem to be stuck in "something new every
day" sydrome, like ok why are these lymph nodes all swollen and sore in
my armpit now?? Guess I'm still a bit paranoid about all of this. The
pneumonia, followed by a nasty abcess (staph infection) at Epogen
injection site, that had to be drained at Thanksgiving kicked the sh.t
out of me and I am impatient to feel better faster... ;)
Just got recent xray results on hip and leg and diagnosis has
progressed to "severe degenerative osteoarthritis, bone spurs" etc, and
the pain from that progresses as well. So it is a bit difficult some
days to feel "better" when I can barely walk. I guess the good news is
that now that I have completed treatment successfully, maybe I can get
on with doing something about this and get some badly needed dental
work done :)
So hows with you?
