Is Ibuprofen safe to take to lower a fever?

Thanks,

Without backup review, I think that Ibuprophen is used more suppression of
pain due to inflammation.  What's wrong with ASA?  I never did get the
sensitivity issue there.  It may result in some temporary additonal swelling
in the liver, but I cannot be sure of that.  The Acetomenophen stuff is not
supposed to be good other than for two or three days, limited to 500 mg a
day while on tx.

ASA = aspirin.   I used the tx example as an indication of what the liver
specialist was willing to advocate despite the condition of my liver.
Acetomenephen is Tylenol.

I was using aspirin but it didn't really do a good job.
