Is Ibuprofen safe to take to lower a fever? Thanks, Cody Without backup review, I think that Ibuprophen is used more suppression of pain due to inflammation. What's wrong with ASA? I never did get the sensitivity issue there. It may result in some temporary additonal swelling in the liver, but I cannot be sure of that. I used the tx example as an indication of what the liver specialist was willing to advocate despite the condition of my liver.
