Well, after being phlebotomized 15 times to get my ferritin level down,
I finally did my first shot Friday night. All in all it has gone pretty
well. I took it at about 4:30. I stayed up til 10:30 feeling no effects
at all.

I then woke up at 12:30 with the worst chills I've ever had in my life.
I got up and put on some flannel pajamas, took 3 ibuprofen and went
back to bed. I woke up an hour later with the sweats. I threw all the
covers off and went back to sleep. I got up the next day feelin' fine
and did everything I normally do all weekend, including some light work
around the house.

I've had no nausea, or loss of appetite (knock on wood). I do however
feel like I just joined the gym. I am sore from head to toe, with
stiffness and muscle aches. I have really been trying to concentrate on
fluid intake.

With all that said, I can do this thing. What should I expect the next
few treatments?
More of the same?

Sounds like you're experiencing the normal reaction. That's good Dave, I
wish you the best about your treatment from now on!

I would say is don't overdose Ibuprofen. I was told I could only take a
maximum of 500 mg of Paracetamol the day after the shot. All these
things aren't so liver friendly and, in my humble opinion, you know
what? Interferon _is supposed_ to cause fever, so...
Anyway, you'll notice that from now on fevers will be barely noticeable.

Good luck,
jeeb.
