My HGB  came back 11.4. It was 11.7 last time. I think that could just
be lab error though.

It  very much looks like  I'm going to get through the entire course of
treatment without severe anemia.

Thank God.

YAY for you!!! My hemoglobin had dropped so I had to add a shot for
that and that particular shot (aranesp) is so painful that I was
thinking that maybe anemia might be better then enduring 41 more weeks
of them, lol, ah well. I am glad you are surviving well and your blood
work is cooperating too.

BTW, I think Ive discovered how B-12 and B-6 supplements can offset
some of the anemia , and I think I can prove it with my blood tests.
When I get time. I'll post the evidence for all to  see.

Evidence will be interesting, but there seems to be a lot of variables
additional to B-12 and B-6 intake. I understand Hct and Hmg levels vary
normally, thus time itself can account for some up and down in those
values. My care provider explained that for HCV pts on tx, HCt & Hmg
values often rebound somewhat after plunging to moderate anemia levels;
it can depend a lot on simply how well you adapt to the continual
presence of the antivirals. That said, I know I took B-12, B-6, Folic
acid, and lots of concentrated tomato in the hope that doing so would
help *offset* the tendency for the ribavirin to make my blood flow as
clear as pond water.
