Took #3 of 48 on Friday night, 11-03-2006.
Sagged starting at noon through about 6, wasn't too bad, but chilled
Saturday night.
Main sides of the peg seem to hit me 16 hours after the injection.
Next week I'm going to take it at 8am Friday morning and see if I can
time the peak sides for Friday night.
Only other major thing to report is a lot of itching, mostly on my
shoulders and back. Hot pinpoint-spray showers feel great while I'm in
them but make the itching much worse after, so I've given them up. Now
I have the water lukewarm and kind of flowing rather than spraying, and
I don't stand in it, just use it to wash off the soap.
Strangely, the itching seems to have abated while reading the support
newsgroup... maybe there's something to it <smile>.

I think your intuition kicked in. Avoid hot showers, and try to use soaps that
aren't overtly drying or astringent. Dry skin is a bitch on therapy, if you
live in a dry climate - or especially, in the snow belt...

Olive Oil soap (available at organic places) is a great soother for rashes.
It did not aggravate my conditions. Also, (again) Tea Tree Oil shampoo
reduced the itching in the scalp, if you get that. My whole forehead broke
out in a rash, on my pre-existing rosacea condition (a bit of it) but it
cleared up since tx. And most of my small mirror patches of 'chronic,
inherited' psoriasis did not make it back, yet. Seeing as how the liver
functions affect skin conditons, perhaps my tx allowed some healing. It may
be that I quit drinking that helped, too. (I live in a snow belt which
sometimes includes alcohol)
anyway, poor jokes aside, good luck

I'm gong to try those, along with oatmeal soap and lotion.

Hi CJ
I have never thought of olive oil soap. What a good idea. I been using
something by Dove its the cucumber/ green tea one it leaves skin real
soft and very moist. It does sound like treatment did do something for
you, thats good. And giving up the alcohol is the best yet we all had to
do it for our livers. I just smoke and what a bud season it was this
year. I received bags of giant buds just for consulting through the
growth stages and trimming for hours on end. Been in ozzz ever since
LOL. It does look like my past life of growing has turned into something
very interesting and fun teaching newbies how to grow LOL. I had no idea
I learned such fine art life skills that would be carring me through
life. LOL I already miss summer.

By advancing your injection time, you might be trying to accomodate a
moving target as fars as the peak of IFN sides go. Also, the earlier
hours post injection can be seriously brain-foggy too -- the way it hit
me kept changing through Tx. My IFN peak continually moved ahead of the
injection time during my 24 weeks of Tx. At first, peak onset was
quick, occuring within 12 to 16 hours. Then it came down around 24
hours, and that was the norm over all. Later, the IFN injection was
followed in two hour by intense fog that subsided -- and two days later
I'd peak out on a surge of flu-like symptoms that lasted into the fifth
or sixth day. Best I could do as a rule was get the stuff in ASAP, once
the mentally demanding part of my week was completed. As far as itch
goes, sometimes it seemed that Benadryl helped -- but if I forgot to
rinse well in the shower, I'd go nuts. -bg

Okay, good info to know. I'm still going to give a try at putting the
peak sides in the "right" time period, but I won't count on it.
I might have missed early brain fog, because I'm just watching tv on
Friday nights, and everyone knows that reduces IQ even more the
interferon (grin).
